Jeans are a wardrobe staple, even if you don't wear them often you need at least
one good pair in your closet.
Finding the perfect Jean is a task that can take a while, but the perfect fit can make all the difference in your comfort levels, confidence and sexiness.
Understanding your shape is the key to finding your perfect fit.
So here it is;
Your ultimate jean guide.
Curvy;;
Slim up the top with narrow shoulders and a little fuller around the thighs and bottom.
Example-Christina Aguliera.
Hourglass;;
The classic voluptuous shape with a cinched in waist.
Example-Christina Hendricks.
Athletic;;
Lean almost boyish silhouette.
Example-Taylor Swift.
How to find your dream fit:
Rise- check the front fly stitch line & length and be sure that it doesn't shorten or lengthen your waistline.
This can make you look out of proportion and thats the last thing you need.
Length-keep in mind what shoes you wear. For every day jeans, the seam should sit just below your ankle and and lightly touch the top of your foot, perfect for sneakers, ballet flats and sandals.
For "going out" jeans add appox 2-3cm's to allow for the height for your heel.
Waistline-the waistline of your jeans should not gap, test them out before you buy them: squat, sit, bend. Make sure no one can see unwanted areas.
Pockets-front and back pockets must look in proportion and be positioned correctly.
Small pockets will widen your butt, big pockets with make it look smaller.
Be carful of the detailing on pockets,the patten may look really nice but do you really want to draw that extra attention?
The BAD!
The GOOD!
Last ditch tips:
- Once you know exactly what your looking for it's going to be easier to find it- but make sure you take your time.
- You need to feel amazing in them cause you're wearing them, not you friends or the sales person,
- Don't talk your self into them-it's like love, if you don't feel it straight away then don't force it.
Happy hunting!
xoxo
