(of course you can comment on all if you like =])
To be or not to be...an Apple:
  • Your torso is where your added weight meets.
  • Your blessed with slim arms & legs.
  • Your upper body is larger then your lower body.

This is easily disguised, it's just a simple fact of hiding & accentuating.
    bnt4enbqh
    Skirts-
Runched pencil skirts are your best trick.
The High waist and is your best friend, and this skirt should be on your Christmas list.
Avoid- tight pencils & tight mini's- like the plague!

    Dresses-
Empire lines ans drapped material are your best friends!
They hide unwanted extras & accentuate your bust. =]
Your looking for material that flows from the empire line to skim your torso
Avoid- Slim fitting, skin tight, can-opener-needing dresses.

    Denim & trousers-
A key characteristic of an apple is amazing legs.
    (lucky!!!)
another is that proportionally your top half is larger then your lower half.
This is easily hidden with flare jeans & trousers.
The hourglass cut of these balances out your mid section in ratio to your legs...
the best part is your not hiding your sexy pins.
    Avoid- Skinny leg jeans!!!!!
This varies depending on how much bigger your torso is to your legs.
But generally-just avoid. you don't want to look like a lollipop.

    Tops-
    Again empire lines love you!
choose tops that create a waist (see above)...and skim over anything you don't want to be seen.
With length choose tops that are a little longer to account for any of the above mentioned. =]
Avoid- Tops that finish on the hem of your jeans.
High neck lines- unless you'd like your assets to look like beach balls.
(nice transition if i say so myself =p)
    Swimmers-
One pieces with a runched waist detail.
    This is your best option.
The detail will create a waist for you.
    Avoid- bikinis...(again) like the plague!!!

    High heels-
Chunky heels will Balance you out when wearing tights, skirts or dresses...
Avoid- Kitten heels and pin heels.
    whgee
    Random Tips-
    • On swimmers-the higher the runched detail finishes on your torso the better. (creates a slimmer waist.)
    • Play with colourful chunky shoes. (chunky-elongates your legs and balances out proportions & colour- draws attention to your sexy pins =])
    • Look for garments that create what you don't have! ( fake it till you make it!)

     Random avoids-
    • Shoulder pads & masculine cuts.
    • mini skirts (thought I'd say this again so it sinks in =] )
    • Shorts= NO!!!!!....3/4= YES!!!
Part three of this series in a couple of days.

    Naughty or nice?

The Miss Nice behind the idea-Danimezza
    This weeks theme...

    Ohhhhhhhh I LOVE this!!!!
    =]
I had heaps of fun creating this set and getting to do both sides of the idea.

    naughty & nice
    Naughty-
    I love black lace.
It's a very sexy twist on that traditional niceness of white lace.
And whats naughtier then leather pants? I mean come on?
Put the two together and you have a very sexy, naughty combination.
I imagined that this top would be wore with nothing underneath...just a black bra.
    (no that's naughty! ;p)
I'm in love with these heels-
I like that fact that they look like combat boots but then have the sexy heel.
Add a sweet leather jacket for extra bad-ass-ness.
A statement ring and some long black & silver chains to show you mean business!
This clutch is so sexy & classic and matches perfectly with this look...
Bring out your black eyeliner (apply with an angled brush for a softer look)
& powerful long black lashes add spunk to your look.
For a dash of sexy contrast & break-up all the black with Red lips & nails.

    Nice-
I'm a complete sucker for heart shaped bodice dresses.
and this one is no exception!
I really love the zipper detail & the ribbioned ruffles.
These nude Mary-Jane's fit perfectly with the ribbions.
Add Some sweet pearls, and a light plain clutch so you don't over dramatize.
Nude lipstick, pink lip gloss & nail polish,
teamed with a touch of mascara is all you need to keep this look nice & easy.
(I found these fingerless cream gloves with pearls & couldn't ignore them lol)

    So what do you think?
    Naughty or Nice?

    Which body are you?

This post is part of a series...

    Petite;
adj: Small, slender, and trim. Used of a girl or woman.

For some reason society tends to think that if your small in frame-you can wear anything.
    This is generally not true
Here are some Do's & Do not's for petite frames.
    hhhhhhhhhhhh
    Skirts-
Your hems should fall to knee length or slightly below.
skirts that pull you in at the waist but "poof" outwards are great for creating some..
volume without swallowing you in exes fabric.
Avoid- long flowing fall length skirts.
    you'll drown in material.

    Dresses-
V-necklines, & empire lines under the bust
are perfect for adding some weight to your torso.
with maxi's you want a form fitting dress...(see example.)
so that your not swamped in material.
Avoid- flowing maxi dresses & layered maxi's.

    Jewelery-
Keep necklaces long, delicate and simple.
Avoid-big chunky necklaces & long chunky earrings.
you want your neck to be relatively bare as it adds height.

    Underwear-
Bras with lift,or water padding are a godsend to petite women-
helping to create a taller & leaner silhouette.
You want the bra to create a bigger gap between your waist and your bust line.

    Swimwear-
Low-cut/ hipster bikini bottoms work best.
    As it elongates your torso.
for height- cut away / high cut swimmers are a must.
Avoid- high contrast colours & pattens.
these will chop your body in half.
    Frills are bad.
it like drawing a line through your body. Avoid!!!

    High heels-
Light coloured, neutral shoes work best...
as you don't want to draw attention to the "fake height".
    Avoid-ankle straps and patterned heels.
Ankle straps will cut you off-more?
(I'm not saying to abandon all hope of ever wearing those bright coloured shoes
that you love but don't go with anything...
im just saying that if your worried about your height,
or need to look tall & lean- no bright to-die-for heels =])

    Random Tips-
    • High black heels & matching black stocking/tights add height.
    • jackets that sit on your waist bone.(to long you'll disappear-too short you be in two.)
    • the same colour head to toe lengths your frame.
    • Hidden platform shoes ( see first image.)

     Random avoids-

    • high waisted pants.
    • floor length trench coats.
    • heavy fabric..(i.e;tweed)
    • thick scarfs..( the thinner the better...think of men's ties.)
    heeeeehhhhhhhhhh

    Jump polly!

    This fun idea- Danimezza.
    This weeks theme...

    vrw

I really like jumpsuit's....but you would never ever catch me wearing one
    It's a cruel thing but sometimes in fashion;
there are items that you love, that are in style (for a whole season!)
    but you cant wear.
It's a sad fact that jumpsuit's-though fun and playful...
    don't like curvy women.

Navy is an interesting colour this season...Its being mixed with basics like black and brown-
so creating a "desert-like, carefree" essence.
They are easy to jazz up and play around with but are also great for throwing over swimmers.
I really love the shoulder detailing to this piece,
    adds a little something extra.=]

Team with a cute pair of strapy heels
( love the multiple buckles & the rich brown!)
    plus a cute satchel bag.
Add a nice cocktail ring & long simple necklace
preferably one that sits near your belly-button to elongate your top half..
(...as jumpsuits make it look short compared to your legs.)
Finish with some nude lipstick & nails as well as simple coat of lengthening mascara.
    And your done!
    Simple & sexy jumpsuit!

    TWLOHA

"To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help
for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery."
Having been there myself i know what it's like to feel like everything is hopeless & there's no point.
Having come out of it..(mostly) i know that it's not true.

    Some one once told me:
    "Everything's okay in the end.
    so if it's not okay...
    It's not the end."

For me It took me showing someone i trusted my war wounds-
and that person to break down crying one the floor in front of me..nearly screaming.
To see that what i was doing to myself was hurting someone else.
Then when that person betrayed me & told someone else
I was unbelievably mad & upset.
    But if she hadn't...
    I wouldn't be here.

Write love on your arms today, and if anyone asks...
    tell them why.

    To wear?

    Party season is officially here!
I have to admit that i love getting all dressed up & ready for a party,
more then i enjoy the actual event.
I love picking out my outfit,
doing my make up & hair.
Parties give you a chance to dress a little different,
and show a different side that normal everyday wear doesn't quite always express.

So heres some styling types for this party season!

    ..
    Inspiration-Smirnoff; vodka & blood orange.
Rock chic; Dont be afraid of a little leather. This look is all about the red lipstick so a sexy red, is a must!...along with liquid black liner. (remember one or the other. no momsen-ing it! )
With this look you can't really go over-board as this is what rocks all about. Stock up on leather, skulls & crucifixes. As well as everything inxs this look is about confidence in being the rebal.
    wear to? Clubbing

     Inspiration-Smirnoff; ice
Show stopper; one word. Sparkle! here you have two options. A wow dress or wow accessories. you don't want to look like a disco ball. This look works well with a little bit of skin as it's all about self confidence. A strapless, form fitting dress is great for this but remember- no one wants to see breakfast or to buy a can opener to get you out.
    wear to? Clubbing.

    ...
Sweetheart; Think pastels, pinks & bows. The perfect dress is of course a "Sweetheart" neckline. =] Dont be afraid for bows on shoes. Light make up and a sweet scented perfume will keep this look...sweet.
Wear to? Dinner with parents, family re-union.

    Inspiration- Smirnoff; cosmopolitan
Fashionista; This is where you pull out that bold one-of-a-kind dress, statement shoes & bag!
rich colours and textured fabrics will definitely help with this look.
The idea is to look like you just through this together without thought. Remember to keep make up neutral with a statement dress.
(im in love with this DVF dress)
wear to? High school re-union. work party.

    ....
    Inspiration-Smirnoff; vodka & cranberry.
Lady like; Black, Red ,White. Think Chanel, Lauren Conrad & Ann Hathaway.
A-line dresses work best creating a classic female figure. With this look your best friends are red lipstick & red nail polish! The key-Less is more..keep accessories and pattens to a minimum.
    wear to? Fancy, romantic dinner.

laid back;Think draped fabric & light make up. this look is all about effortless fashion sense, and a kinda "meh whatever im here and i like what im wearing but don't care what you think & im not wearing heels for anyone!" vibe =] (hehehehehehheehe)
again with this look; less is more, so keep make up light.
    wear to? BBQ, House party.

    Whats your favorite?

    Polly poison..

    The Beauty behind the idea-Danimezza.
    This weeks theme-
    Asymmetrical.
The trick with Asymmetrical dresses is control.
    Here's how it goes.
    Plain,block,neutral coloured Asymmetrical dress= bold,fun accessories.
Patten, bright coloured, detailed Asymmetrical dress=neutral accessories.
There is a thing called too much!
In saying that- this doesn't always apply...
There are some dresses that fall in the middle and it generally depends on the detail of the dress.
    basically trust your instincts.
    heygr

    I love Asymmetrical dresses.
they are so fun to play with & great for an awesome night out.
They are also a gem for those who want to show skin but not breakfast.
    I fell in love with the draping on this dress;
It compliments the one-shoulder so well and carries the detail though out the dress without over powering it.

Add a statement bold necklace too black to liven it up a bit..
    and a bangle to match.
I'm all so heed-over-heels in love with this necklace!!!
    *adds to wish list*
Bold lips & nails add a little extra va-va-voom to Plain Black heels and a clutch.
Add a sexy Perfume to set the mood..
Winged liquid eyeliner & long lashes.

    And your done!
    =]

    Suit up ladies!

The idea behind this is like you've just stolen your boyfriends blazer.
It's a little to big on your body but the arms fit you well.
The lapel is thinker and longer..
    Pockets are bigger
The body of the blazer is cut in a A-line patten,
the hem should fall on your upper thigh.
and the first button should sit on your hips or belly-button.
Boyfriend blazers work best while open-keep this in mind when sizing.
The boyfriend is great for expression, and playful outfits,
So don't be afraid to get one in bold colours, pattens or studded.
Busy tops also work well with a neutral boyfriend.
(oh i said a mouthful there! lmao)
It's also great for dressing down a dress you previously would have only worn out,
and dressing-up but still keeping casual a nice pair of jeans.

Tip:: make sure the arms fit you well!
If they don't you'll look like you've been swallowed.
     :: If your short-this blazer isn't a good idea.
    Smaller lapel & pockets.
    Shorter body,
    Tapered waist.
The First button should sit on your waist or belly button.
Ladies blazers are a great way to dress up jeans & skirts...
Generally, even if they have no detailing a plain top works best.
    Dont be afraid of decorative hems (as shown above on figure);
they add a great simple detail that can easily enhance your outfit.

Tip:: the higher then hem..the shorter your going to look.
let me explain- Annything higher then your hips is a crop jacket.
and will cut you off...like the shoes i was talking about in the last post
and if you're worried about your height-this is not what you want.
:: No matter what your hem on a ladies blazer it should fall between
your waist and just below your hips.
    example::

    I hope this helps ladies.
which ones your blazer of choice? =]

    Do and Don't...{s}

We all have things we do and don't like about our bodies
The trick in fashion- is not to wear it anway but to dress accordingly.
So here is some tips & tricks for the common "problems"
we women seem to always find.
    ....

    Fake it-till you make it!....
    Small bust.
I have one word for you.
    FRILL'S
you don't have to pad your bra or get implants and look like a blow up doll.
Put the frills in the right places and you have twins ladies!
V-necks and a tapered waist will also do the trick to draw attention to you...
    ah bountiful assets.

    Lack of junk.
    oh the pain.
    *sarcasm*
Suck it up princess,Skinny leg it.
the smaller the hem of your pants- the more curved your legs appear.
Just make sure you don't require the rescue of a can opener to get you out of them..
fire fighters on the other hand.....

    If you got it,flaunt it!
    Big bust.
You don't want to hide them,
but you don't want people thinking your smuggling bazookas in to the shopping center.
Pleated or gathered fabric will create a textured surface..
there for creating the illusion that they are smaller..
    and draping across them easily.
Steer clear of floral & big busy pattens.
the darker the better with this one ladies.

    Wide hips.
So you have too much junk in your trunk.
    easy.
The 70''s are a big girls best friend.
    flared pants are a dream.
They work the opposite of skinny legs.
The wide hem creates a line with your wide hips and masks them in groovyness.
Ironed pleated pants (as shown) also make huge different aswell...creating nice line to skim your lets vertically.

Tip- when choosing jeans think outside the...pocket. =]
    Small pockets=bigger bum.
    big pockets= smaller bum.
it's the great illusion of denim.
    *thanks the fashion gods*
    =D

I dont want to make it, nor do i want to flaunt it.
    alright i hear you!!!!

    "Muffin"
I wish muffin break would start doing its job.
    =p
    all kidding aside.
    I feel the pain.
the easiest way around this problem is to avoid tightly fitted clothes that hug that area.
You're looking for garments that skim your figure & fall longer then your average top.
A clinched in waist also helps her as it draws the attention to your waist
    and...more favorable assests.

    Arms?
a.The waterfall cardie. Perfect for adding a quirky touch to your outfit..
    hides though muffins too!
b.The boyfriend blazer. A great way to dress down a dress, or dress up some jeans.
get one in a nice girly colour to show off your playful fashion side.
c.The crop 3/4 cardie. Perfect for showing of your tiny waist but still covering your arms.
d.The belt-able cardie. A great addition as it drawing in your waist.
e.The throw. Perfect over swimmers or a nice tank-top on a hot day.
Wear it with a LBD {little black dress} to add some sparkle.
    f. The 3/4 puff sleeve is great at diminishing your upper arm, thanks to its gathered sleeves.

    Want to appear taller?...
or draw the unwanted attention away from your chunkier legs?

While the first to shoes shoes are to die for,
they aren't going to do you any favor's if this is your problem.

Avoid ankle straps- they cut you off  and draw attention to the eye.
then wrap-around shoe is okay but will subtly do the same thing.
The plain pump on the other had elongates your pins and thins them when in a dark colour.
