Sunglasses, the Ultimate accessory.

But only when worn right...

Heres some fail proof tips to make sure you have the right sunglasses for you this Summer.

Long face: 

Think Uma Thurman, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Avoid- Wraparound styles, they will elongate your face even more!

Heavy frames with a bold or strong top light are great as they will add width to your face.

Your best shape- Butterfly Sunglasses.

Round face:

Think Renee Zellwegar, Kira Knightley.

Avoid- large circular styles which will further widen your face.

Frames that are as wide or wider then the widest part of your face are the best. 

Your best shape- Cat eyes or anything oversized.

Heart Shaped face:

Think Reese Witherspoon, Hilary duff

Avoid-styles with a broad frames, they will elongate your chin.

Frames that are smaller or as wide as your face are best.

Your best shape- Oval or rounded lenses.

Square face:

Think Demi  moore, Angelina Jolie.

Avoid- squared or pointed frames

Frames with curved rims will help soften your jaw.

Your best shape- aviators

It's Thursday!!!

The beach babe behind the fun- Danimezza.

This weeks theme...

*Drum roll, please!*

{ I just did a post on beach fashion so I knew what i wanted from this seasons looks. 
So this week dressing Polly wasn't a Challenge for me.
But as always i had heaps of fun doing it!

I love the beach but i don't really get to go often,

(too far away) 

But when i do i go all out,

I colour co ordinate,I buy new swim gear & make sure everything is perfect!

...then when it comes back full of sand I'm satisfied. =D

I really love colourful swimwear,

Its the one part of fashion where i love multi-colour;

It just looks so pretty in the water.

Cute beach towels & bags are also a huge weakness for me,

as i said- it all has to match.

 ...that goes for Accessories & Nail polish too.

Outside of my colourful cozies i like to keep it simple, comfy & easy-

denim 3/4's, a big light weight shirt & my favorite Havaianas

Water proof mascara, tinted sunscreen & lip gloss is all you need for a easy beach look.

Add some easy,and cute rope bangles, 

a beach hat & your favorite sunglasses to complete your look.

I always love to take my i pod, a good magazine & a good book-

sit under a tree with my boost juice (cronulla) and relax.

Dont forget your camera & beach ball-

Memories created at the beach make for great photos!

For lunch you cant go past Fish & chips. for desert- Ice cream of course!

Summer has officially started...

and its time to hit the beach ladies.

So what are you going to wear??....

Dont worry, i have you sorted.  
No need to thank me..lol.=p

Loose tanks-teamed with shorts are great over swimmers, they look relaxed and effortless 

like you just threw them on but still look fabulous. 

(add some simple rope bangles & a long necklace for some great detail.)

Stripes-will never go out of style when it comes to the beach.

( this is when you can add those plastic blue anchors lol)

These next two, i have to admit... i just don't get.

I didn't in the 90's and i certainly don't now.

The Asymmetrical- mid-drift-"whoops-this-is too-big-for-me-"jersey-top.

&&

The "f***-it-i-really-love-this-bra-and-really-who-am-i-kidding?-five-mins-he'll see-it-anyways"-bralet.

If your the type to stay on trend & copy Rhianna...=]

(not a bad thing)

I love denim & shorts- if i was more comfortable with my legs id live in them!

My solution?-

Three Quarters.

Comfy & not showy.

Long sorts...

are always a great option to... by long i don't mean that 5cm away from your...

*cough*...I'm talking just above your knee.

Real shorts.

I feel like i say this all the time but we don't need to see breakfast ladies!

(ripped or textured detail looks great with this basic shape.)

Tailored shorts.

Think Lauren Conrad & Hilary duff.

This is the sort that Audrey Hepburn would wear.

A classy twist on a summer classic.

( i love the colour & the waist detail on these!)

Dresses are a great & very feminine way to show of your style.

Cotton maxi's & Kaftan's...

are fashion's way of being a beach bum

Both are light weight, easy( to wear aswell as accessories), layed back & stylish.

strapless dress or the jersey dress-

Think light weight fabric- no complicated buttons,zippers or straps.

Lace...

is another cute alternative if you don't intent on swimming but just hanging out-

eg shopping at Sydney's Bondi beach
The cut of this dress is also really cute and great for the beach. 

"Well thanks Neysh, but what about my feet?"

Hold your wallets, I'm getting there!! 

hehe

I have three words for you.

• straps. ("look at me..home boy wore combat boots to the beach!!!"-Lauren Conrad knows what im saying.=p)

• ease.(slip on, slip off, slip on, slip...you get the picture.)
  

• comfort.

Of course we are all not Kim Kardashian and there for can & will not wear
heels to swim at the beach.

I added these to the bunch for 3 reasons.

• They are hot,

• to express my "ease" word for you with the zipper.

• and to give you an option for the just previously mentioned shopping trip.

The small wedge was added as...

it is a great option If your not big on heels,

&&

to demonstrate the gladiator style shoe.

Last but not least the "desert" sandal,

My personally favorite...

Once again- easiest things to wear ever, you might as well not be wearing shoes at all!

these are great for the beach!

Then theres always your trusty favorites... lol

So there you have it....

Summer beach wear at your finger tips...

and you wonder why you follow this blog...pffft.

This summer is all about ease.

So we're talking-

wood

cotton

hemp

tye dye

organics

Basically if it's earthy and kinda neutral...go with it.

Look One;;

The denim skirt. 

So,so easy to get wrong...

As I've stated before,and i'll say it again-

it shouldn't be just under your..cha cha.

 And it shouldn't be so tight that you need a can opener to get you out!

*coughs*

moving on...

Beaded necklines and tribal print tops work well with denim-

it keeps the natural vibe,

and adds texture to the outfit. 

Look Two;;

The summer dress.

I love these dresses!

& if i had the body for them,

id have nothing else in my summer closet but these.

The trick to these it the colors. 

these dresses cant be mono-toned.

so accessories & make up have to be kept light.

I'm a push-over when it comes to flower rings.

I wear mine to death!

they mesh perfectly with a sweet little summer dress =]

(i love this bag!!!!)

Look Three;;

Tailored Shorts. 

These are perfect for shopping in heat. 

with loose fitting cotton, so your skin doesn't choke-

they are a great summer alternative to heavy-sticky denim.

Tailored shorts are a nice way to sophisticate summer.

the K.I.S.S method applies religiously with these pieces

as you cant over crowd them,at all.

or you'll end up looking like your drowning in fabric. 

The other key-these shorts are meant to be wore loosely!

Classy Summer Classic's...

It's officially getting hotter.

Air-cons are being switched on for the first time in months.

Ice cream sales are rising,

And Havianas are back to being the shoe of choice.

But just because the temperature is rising

doesn't mean you have to make everyone's eyebrows rise with it.

You can still have that beachy look without looking like a bitch.

Look one;;

Denim shorts are a beach bum must!..

but that doesn't mean your bum has to hang out of them.

Three quarter shorts still keep you cool..

and looking cool,

without risking...exposure.

Add a loose fitting tank over your favorite swimmers.

those trusty havianas,

Sunglasses, and a fedora hat to cover the top of your beach hair.

Look two;; 

okay im only gonna say this once.

'Skirts don't have to be tight!!!!'

working in retail; i have literally heard 13years say 

"the tighter the better"

I have one response.

"NO"

flora prints are in this summer. 
they are so simple to wear and nearly impossible to make look terrible.

Wear with a plain tank top

Add a chunky belt to smooth the transition between 
no patten and patten.

Team with Gladiator sandles for a nice "shopping at the mall"

alternative to Havianas.

Look three;;

Ahh the maxi dress.

The simple " i cant be f***ed trying today" plan b. 

unfortunately with maxi dresses it's super easy to do too much..

Keep in mind-

Keep It Simple Stupid.

I'm In love with this maxi.. =]

the jeweled sandles cover for the lack of jewelery.

Add a statement bangle with a plain maxi for just a little show.

Enjoy this beautiful weather,

But dress like a lady.

And be smart about the weather too.

Be sun wise & wear a hat,

AND 

sunscreen.

Summer Love..

I'm not usually a summer person.

I don't like the heat.

But this year i cant wait for summer.

I wanna drive 4hours to Towradgi

with the windows down,

& my hair flying.

Buy hot chips and ice cream,

Go surfing and swimming and fishing.

I want to wear the hot swimming costume Chris

got me for my birthday.

=]

I want to spent the whole day out in the warm sun.

burn my feet on the sand,

eat watermelon for lunch,

collect sea shells and

spend the day reading a really good book

on my favorite beach towel-listening to the waves.

I want summer.
